Countdown to Opening
Countdown to Reopening
We are scheduled to relaunch a single service beginning at 10:0 a.m. on June 28. That's exciting since we have been on building lockdown since before Holy Week of this year.
We will continue to offer online live and recorded services for those out of state, unable to travel or "not quite ready" worshippers. I am in the midst of developing another service for the summer months called "Second Servings". This will have a different style of worship that may appeal to some.
So although I have a doctorate, I cannot offer you any medical advice. In fact I am not even here to sell you on coming back to church fellowship. I don't know if it is safe to fly, if it is safe for students to return to school or if it is safe to go to Disneyland or Dodger Stadium: don't know and don't pretend to know. That is not my speciality. I tend to focus more on how to beat anxiety because that is what our Lord calls us to do. "Cast all your anxieties on Him for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5.7
So I can offer us this much: Anxiety often leads us to make decisions that are not ultimately in our best interest. Lastly, here are three things that the Covid 19 eruption showed us in moving to the "new normal"---
1. We can be a little more easy going in our ideas
2. We can speak less loudly and still be heard
3. Bullies are out, teddy bears are in
Believe it or not, we are on the right path to making much needed changes. Let us be led by God's Spirit as to what those changes will be.
